Kristin Fisher was added to the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. In this role, Fisher is responsible for covering everything including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space companies and space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up with the space industry and has covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 and the efforts of two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan in a trip that was highly restricted. Kristin worked her way through the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for over a decade before being hired by the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as an CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin is also an experienced filmmaker, established Field Mouse Films, a business that specialises in documentary-style films for clients such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree of journalism at Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C., along with her family members, including their three-year-old daughter.
